What does partnership mean to you?
Partnership to me is knowing you’re a team through all of it — the good, the hard and everything in between. It’s supporting each other, balancing one another out, and being able to laugh through the chaos. Ultimately, it’s having someone beside you who you know will always have your back.

What drew you to our pieces and how did you feel when wearing them?
At the time of my wedding I was actually working for Harriette Gordon, so I got to see so many brides come through and the joy they had wearing your pieces. That was definitely a big part of what drew me to them, along with the fact that they’re locally made and use such beautiful quality materials. Having worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years, quality and thoughtful design are really important to me. Wearing the pieces myself felt really special. They felt timeless and beautifully made, but still really easy to wear and very much like me.
Any tricks or tips you would share with other couples planning their wedding?
Less is more! Try not to get too caught up in all the little details or what you think you’re “supposed” to do. We decided to “elope” with our daughter and it was the best decision. Keep things simple, focus on what actually matters to you both, and make sure you leave plenty of time on the day to just soak it all in— it goes by so quickly!

Your favourite quality in your partner?
He’s completely unflappable — the calm to my crazy. He always manages to keep me grounded and makes everything feel a little easier and lighter.
Did you feature a significant poem or song in your wedding? What is the story behind its meaning to you?
We had lots of Elvis Presley in “our album” as he was Cam’s late grandfather’s favourite — it was our way of honouring someone who couldn’t be there with us. We also had “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” by Daryl Hall & John Oates, as we’ve been to our fair share of weddings together and it’s always the song we request. It felt very fitting to finally have it as part of our own wedding day.
