What does partnership mean to you?

It has given me a real sense of anchoring and belonging - to be truly known and seen by someone else in this world is such a special thing. Having moved countries and homes a lot throughout my life, with lots of people passing through, our partnership brought a sense of stability and stillness, which helped me to know myself better as well.

What drew you to our pieces and how did you feel when wearing them?

The dresses are contemporary but still very bridal - I have also always loved a sheer organza moment, it's elegant and whimsical and SO comfortable you feel like you're wearing absolutely nothing which is the best feeling you can ask for on your wedding day! The details of your pieces are also so special - the little pearl and ribbon bows on the veil were a dream. My biggest compliment to the dress is that I felt so like myself when I wore it - it was similar to other pieces of clothing I own, but with the organza and the train it still felt so special and bridal. And I'm going to dye it green, cut the train off and wear it as a wedding guest dress next year so it will continue to live on!

Any tricks or tips you would share with other couples planning their wedding?

Don't spend lots of time planning every little thing - some things can be quicker decisions - but DO spend time on key details that will make the wedding feel quintessentially you. We spent a lot of time thinking about a few songs we love that we asked the band to play, and planning the menu and table decor, because music and coming together wit people you love around a dinner table are so important to us. After the wedding, we had so many people comment that it was "so us" and they could see both of us in the details, which was such a big compliment - weddings can feel like an industry sometimes, so it was a beautiful thing to feel like we had created something that reflected who we are as people and a couple, and that our friends and family could recognise us in it. We also briefed all our vendors beforehand that we wanted the wedding to be fun and joyous rather than serious and emotional, and that was exactly the energy that they (and all of our guests) brought which meant we were dancing for what felt like 10 hours straight!

Your favourite quality in your partner?

His silliness! As quite a serious person myself, the reminder to laugh, to see the joy in life, to do some things just for the fun of it rather than for a particular purpose, is such a beautiful thing that has made my life and the way that I interact with others so much lighter and brighter.

Did you feature a significant poem or song in your wedding? What is the story behind its meaning to you?

I walked down the aisle to Les fleurs by Minnie Riperton - apart from being just the most beautiful song in the world, it is about the power of love, rebirth, and nature, told from the perspective of a flower that wants to bloom and bring joy, beauty, and hope to the world.
